Has your Council worked out the real reason why so many Rangitaiki Ward residence want to move to the Kawerau District Council?

Since the new council has been elected it has been communcating with the Rangitaiki ward ratepayers on a regular basis. We have held a number of meetings in regard to creating a vision for the ward. This is going well. the next meeting is being held this Tuesday at the Awakeri Events Centre at 7.30 p.m Of those that are disatisfied with the council and wanting to change to the Kawerau District Council, the main problem is lack of communcation. There were people that thought we were doing no work within the ward. This was far from the truth and you only have to look at annual plan and see the millions that are being spent in the ward. Just since January we have had huge roading expentiture in the ward.
